Once the campaign migrates to the Sigma Chi Foundation 501(c)(3), every gift is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by U.S. law. The Foundation issues receipts directly. Larger gifts may also qualify for tax-advantaged treatment as appreciated stock, qualified charitable distributions from IRAs, or donor-advised fund grants, consult your financial advisor.
The project is structured around a phased fundraising plan with a $2.5M financing component. Per the original Foundation framing of the campaign, “in the event the project does not proceed, all grassroots contributions will be returned in full.”
Yes. Multi-year pledges spread over three to five years are common for capital campaigns at this scale. Tell us in the form (or in conversation with Rick) and we’ll structure it. Pledge tracking is automated, you'll receive payment reminders on your chosen schedule.
Naming runs from individual bedrooms (Badge Level tier) through entire rooms like the Library, Weight Room, Dining Room, or Consul Suite (Founder+), to building-naming opportunities at the Cornerstone level. Rick walks every Leadership Gift donor through specifics, the conversation includes site visits when feasible.
Your contact info, gift range, and notes are held only by the Epsilon Zeta Fundraising Committee (Patrick Raftery, Mac Carr, Gavin Jordan, Jani Thomas, Gavin Gambsy) and the Sigma Chi Foundation administrator for the EZHC account. We never share donor information with third parties. The public Founders Wall lists name + tier band only, never gift amounts, and only when you opt in.
