Give now
Make your gift online.
Give securely by card below — your gift goes straight to the EZ House Initiative, and Givebutter emails your receipt. Most grassroots gifts aren’t tax-deductible; for larger gifts that can be, Rick will set it up through the Sigma Chi Foundation.
Online card gifts are capped at $5,000. For a larger gift, Rick will set it up directly — by Zelle, check, or through the Sigma Chi Foundation — so more of it reaches the house.
Gifts of $50,000 or more, or gifts you’d like structured as tax-deductible, are handled through the Sigma Chi Foundation — Rick will set it up.

Frequently asked
What you should know before you commit.
Will my gift be tax-deductible?
Potential tax-deductible giving opportunities are currently being structured primarily for gifts of $500,000 or more, where funds may be directed toward areas of the house that qualify as Educational Space under IRS guidelines.
Grassroots donations, although typically not tax-deductible, provide donors with flexibility and peace of mind, as they remain fully refundable prior to the start of construction.
What happens if the campaign falls short of $5.5M?
The project has been structured around a phased fundraising plan that currently includes a $2.5 million financing component with a 10-year term. Should circumstances require, both the financing amount and amortization period could be adjusted to ensure the long-term success of the initiative.
Importantly, if the project does not move forward, all grassroots contributions will be fully refunded.
Can I make a multi-year pledge?
Yes. Multi-year pledges spread over up to three years are common for capital campaigns at this scale. Talk it through with Rick and we’ll structure it. Pledge tracking is automated, you'll receive payment reminders on your chosen schedule.
What are the naming opportunities?
Naming runs from individual bedrooms (Badge Level tier) through entire rooms like the Library, Weight Room, Dining Room, or Consul Suite (Founder+), to building-naming opportunities at the Cornerstone level. Rick walks every Leadership Gift donor through specifics, the conversation includes site visits when feasible.
How do I know my information is private?
The Epsilon Zeta Fundraising Committee, together with Rick Harpenau, has elected not to engage a third-party fundraising firm for this campaign. All donor outreach and related fundraising efforts are managed internally.
We will not share donor information with outside parties. Donors at all giving levels may also choose to have their contributions listed anonymously. The public Founders Wall lists name + tier band only, never gift amounts, and only when you opt in.
Anticipated Grand Opening?
Fall Semester of 2028. Our project timeline specifies 11 months of Planning/Permitting, and 15 months of Sitework and Construction. You’ll receive quarterly construction updates if you commit at the Brother tier or above.
